Terms of Use

MyDay by MindForm Labs · Last updated 24 October 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and MindForm Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”), the maker of the MyDay app (the “App”). Please read them. By tapping “Continue with Google”, or by installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. Who can use MyDay

You must be at least 18 years old (or of full legal age where you live) and legally able to enter into this agreement. MyDay is not meant for children. If you are under 18, please do not use it.

2. Our licence to you

MyDay is licensed to you, not sold. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms. Everything we do not expressly give you is kept by us.

MyDay is commercial, proprietary software. It is not open source. Free software from other makers that is used inside the App stays under its own licence; see Settings → About → Third-party licences.

3. What you must not do

You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

If you break this section we may end your licence at once (see section 18).

4. Ownership

We and our licensors own the App and everything in it: the code, design, layout, name, logo, text, graphics and all intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of them to you. If you send us ideas or feedback, you agree that we may use them freely, without payment or credit to you.

5. Your data and your responsibility for it

What you put into MyDay (tasks, habits, money entries, notes, files, journal and so on) is yours. MyDay has no server of ours: your data is kept on your device and, if you sign in with Google, in a hidden folder of your own Google Drive. We do not receive it and cannot read it, restore it or delete it for you. The Privacy policy explains this in detail.

This means you are responsible for your own data. Please:

You are responsible for everything you store in the App and for having the right to store it.

6. Security of your device and accounts

The PIN, the fingerprint option and the journal lock are app locks that keep other people out of the App on your phone. They are not a guarantee of security, and the data on your phone is not encrypted by the App. Anyone who can get into your unlocked phone, your Google account, a rooted or compromised device, or your backup files may be able to see your data. Keeping your device, your Google account and your PIN secure is your responsibility. We are not responsible for losses caused by someone else getting access to your device or accounts.

7. Reminders and notifications are not guaranteed

Reminders depend on your phone: its settings, battery saving, “Do not disturb”, permissions, time settings, system updates and Google services can all delay or stop them. Do not rely on MyDay for anything where a missed or late reminder could cause harm or loss, such as medicines, medical appointments, legal, tax or payment deadlines, travel, or safety. Always keep another way of remembering such things.

8. Money features are only a notebook

The money screens, totals, budgets, charts and exports show what you typed in. They may contain errors, rounding differences or bugs. They are not accounting, tax, banking, investment or legal advice, and MyDay does not move or hold any money. Check important figures against your bank and official records before relying on them.

9. Journal, habits and wellbeing

MyDay is not a medical device or a health service. Nothing in the App is medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. The journal, mood and habit features are for your personal record only. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency number or a qualified professional straight away; MyDay cannot help you in an emergency.

10. Ads

The free version of MyDay shows ads from Google AdMob. They are marked as ads. We do not choose or control every ad, and we are not responsible for advertisers, their products or their websites. How the ad service uses data, and how to change your ad choices, is explained in section 3 of the Privacy policy.

11. Gold subscription

12. Other companies’ services

MyDay works with services run by others, such as Google sign-in, Google Drive, Google Play and Google AdMob. They have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them, for their outages, or for any change they make (for example to storage limits, permissions or prices). If Google suspends your account or removes your Drive data, we cannot restore it.

13. Changes to the App and updates

MyDay may change over time. We may add, change, pause or remove features, release updates, or require you to update to keep using the App (for example for security or to work with Google services). Some features may be switched off for a while. We may also stop offering the App; if we do, we will try to tell you in the App or on our website and to leave you time to save a backup of your data, but we are not required to keep the App available. Test or “beta” versions may be unstable and may lose data.

14. No warranty

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, MYDAY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL CODE, OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

15. Limit of our responsibility

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (A) MINDFORM LABS, ITS OWNER(S), CONTRACTORS AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, SAVINGS, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL OR REPUTATION, OR FOR ANY LOSS FROM A MISSED REMINDER, A WRONG FIGURE, OR SOMEONE ELSE GETTING INTO YOUR DEVICE OR ACCOUNTS; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO MYDAY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR MYDAY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM (WHICH IS NOTHING IF YOU NEVER PAID).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing takes away consumer rights that you have by law and cannot be waived. Some places do not allow some of the limits above, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. If you cause us a problem

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs and claims (including reasonable legal fees) that we suffer because you broke these Terms, used MyDay unlawfully, or stored or shared something that breaks the law or someone else’s rights.

17. Your privacy

Our Privacy policy is part of this agreement. It explains what the App stores, what Google receives (sign-in, Drive, ads) and your choices.

18. Ending the agreement

You may stop at any time by uninstalling MyDay (and cancelling Gold in Google Play if you subscribed). We may suspend or end your licence, with or without notice, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if the law or Google requires it. When it ends, you must stop using the App and delete it. Sections that by their nature should continue (including ownership, no warranty, limit of responsibility, cover for our losses, governing law and complaints) continue after it ends.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when the App or the law changes. The new version will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date and, for important changes, in the App or its update notes, and we may ask you to accept it again. If you keep using MyDay after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

20. Complaints and contact

If you have a problem or complaint, please write to us first at support@mindformlabs.tech with a clear description and, if you can, screenshots. We will try to reply within a reasonable time (normally within 7 working days) and to settle it in good faith. This does not stop you going to a court or authority.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to rules that would apply another country’s law. The courts in India that have jurisdiction will decide any dispute, without limiting any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in your home country where the law gives you that right.
